Hi,

I wanted to watch a movie from my USB with the audio DTSHD.MA - 2264Kbps. Codec - DTS Audio ( dts). Channels - 3F2M/LFE.

However, when I tried to watch the movie, it is giving me an error "The audio data is not supported".

Can anyone please let me know if I can convert the movie and watch the same? Please let me know the audio configuration settings that can used while converting the video.

I request someone to look into the issue and support.

Thank you,

Siva

Says only supported on models released before 2018.

If you insist on using the file you have on hand then consider an HDMI audio splitter/extractor. The device should take HDMI as input and output HDMI signal + an option of optical audio or 3.5mm audio. They're pretty cheap online.

Easier still: use a Chromecast or similar Android devices with Vimu player app and play the files either locally with an attached drive via USB dongle or via your home network.

The point is to offload DTS processing elsewhere.

My Friend @Members_6N0ZUdQ -

Thank you for the agile response.

The first solution HDMI audio splitter/extractor is a good option. But, the second one is the easier one.

The second solution which you have mentioned using a chromecast or any other android box which can be attached to my smart monitor and can play the same video file from there is one of the best solution to play any video file with the kind of codecs that android basically supports.

Thank you once again for a quick response and practical solutions.

Regards,

Siva
