Stop updating the TV Home menu page!

I so wish I'd bought a Hisense TV. The Home page on Samaung was bad enough when I got the TV. But I managed to get rid of most of the junk it was showing by removing the attrocious SamsungTV Plus app,  but now 2 updates have gone by and my screen is a mess of moronic TV thumbnails like Gladiators and Love Island. Please please let me have the menu I WANT. The apps should dominate the Home page as they are what I use, not all  this junk TV. Britbox? ITVX?  I don't watch them! They may be "Popular searches" but I don't want to see popular searches! I am quite capable of searching for what I like and not that junk.

If it doesn't improve I will be getting rid of this TV and changing brands.

I’m truly surprised to see this development from Samsung. The OS has been a total nightmare since what, 1420? That was the last version you could still get too look somehow normal.  

Now it looks like a total madhouse full of auto playing *****, useless sidebars and zero chance for customizing a decent experience. I just bought 2 tvs recently for the family but I’m afraid they will be the last ones until they change this nightmare for a useful interface

I totally agree. I have searched the web for solutions to the now appalling Samsung home screen. I don't want to be treated like a child. I don't need a television to make suggestions. I don't care what are popular searches. It's just noise that makes life a bit less pleasant. Who dreams up this stuff - and why? Give me a method to customise the screen or this will be my last samsung tv.
