Just updated my app and was greeted with "End of service notification (smart view app will no longer be supported from Oct 5th 2020)
What will happen instead?

The TV Smart View app should still be available to use for those who already have it, but won't be updated/issues resolved on it any further.
There's also the SmartThings app for TV's supported by that.
Out of curiosity, what's the model number of your TV?

Though previous advice had been to use SmartThings for the most modern models (2017 onwards). https://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/apps/smartthings/
