Hello,

I have a Samsung Model Code UN75NU7200FXZA the motherboard was replaced with a used one from overseas. I'am in  the same predicament. My version no is: FA02 / UNU7100.

I could not find a suitable replacement anywhere other than China and I'am in the USA. All of the motherboard numbers are a match to the old board. I have a Samsung service remote and I have set most of the options to US settings but the tv will not find any tv stations when scanned no matter what I try. Also, when trying to access the apps, it hangs at an error that says something like the server is down to try again later. I cannot agree to the terms + conditions or change the region in that menu. Upon power up, I get an annoying popup box in the upper right hand corner that says I need to change the LOCAL SET and FRONT COLOR settings in the service menu. I don't want to choose the wrong grouping of codes and brick the tv. You seem to be very knowledgeable in this area. I will list my current settings under the OPTION TAB.

TYPE:     75A6AU0NN

LOCAL SET:    NONE

SW MODEL:     UNU7100

BOM MODEL:     7100

TUNER:     S_DTMB

CHANNEL TABLE:    NONE

FRONT COLOR:     U-F_NU71-75

WIFI REGION:     F

IN the local set list I do not see anything that resembles USA. I personally thing its not a US tuner its set to so it can't find US channel frequencies. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, it helped a lot,

I had my motherboard replaced (was replaced by SAMSUNG) and I was facing the same issue.

Issues:

 • TV Shows "Please go into service mode and setup below options. - Type, Local Set, Front Color Option" on every startup.
 • Was not able to accept Terms and Conditions, It would say "Server down for maintenance, try again later."
 • Nothing works on TV as it requires us to accept Terms and Conditions.
 • "About TV" section showing Model Number and Serial Number as "0" and "Default Text".
 • Factory reset not works (at first)

I was not even able to setup my TV, found this article and decided to go forward with it, as i didn't have a service remote i used "SmartTV RC" app from play store. used the combination "return + info + factory + menu" to enter service mode. panel info was detected autoatically, entered locale and sw model, but i forgot to add model code. I had no idea what to select from Front Color List, found a similer TV on YouTube so i copied its Value. But there was no change so after few minutes i tried again and I checked every settings and found that i had not set model code (it was set to zero) after entering that i found that S/N (Serial Number) was also not set (was showing fail). so I entered that and restarted my TV, no change.

So I performed a Factory Reset (It was stuck at 0% for 3 minutes), after that I was able to set up my TV as brand new.

Everything is working normally now.

NOTE: DO NOT FACTORY RESET FROM SERVICE MENU, TO RESET GOTO SETTINGS > GENERAL > RESET

[EDIT] If you are lucky enough you can find the Front Color on the back of you TV.

"Type" should be printed on your panel shield beside your motherboard (inside your TV)

"Local Set" is your locale, so select your country

SW Model, Model Code, S/N, Front Color can be found on the backside of your TV.

Its written like this

_____________________________________________________

Model Code : MODEL_CODE

Version No. : VERSION_NUMBER/SW_MODEL/FRONT_COLOR

S/N : SERIAL_NUMBER

And here's the "TYPE" of the panel

PANEL TYPEPANEL TYPE

If your TV shows more than one option for LOCAL SET for your country (i.e. EA_COUNTRY and ED_COUNTRY) then select EA for Analog and ED for Digital (depending on the option choosed you'll get and loose some of the features) If your TV is newer then you'll most likely have to choose ED from the list (in my case selecting EA will result in Universal Remote feature of my TV not working and some options for scaling and enhancing features graying out and not working, it only gave me option to add more channels to terrestrial section)

Hey @Sween Wolf

I faced exactly same problem after motherboard replacement and trying to set things up in the service menu. I found your post extremely useful! Thanks lots for that. May I have few questions which hopefully will resolve my issue please.

1. On the back label I have following string as front color:

     UTU8500N-U55TN1

I know your TV is different but did you have it also like 2 parts piece of data?

2. According to your instruction "Type" should be inside the TV. There good few labels I am stuggling to figure out which one I should use.

Can you share what was that parameter in your case and if that was on a label stuck on somewhere inside?

Thanks lots for your help!
