Hi guys,

Firstly, it's a very frustrating situation what is going on here. We also have bought this TV (UE75AU9000), and in less than 2 years have the same problem as everyone else here. The bottom part of the TV near the power button gets insanely hot and a white glowing starts growing from this spot. Talked to "Samsung specialist" on a chat at their own website and the answer I had was " you are out of warranty so now you have to pay". That's outrageous! Paying a fortune for a product to have it melting down for no reason and Samsung pretending they are blind about the subject.

Has anyone already got it sorted? Any help at all from Samsung on this matter?

Kind regards,

Tomaz

Hi,

Just to update any of you having the same problem: I have messaged Sam_uk here in the community about my issue and they just told me to book a repair at my own cost. Very unsatisfied with the answer that was given me and I will be seeking for legal advice on this matter.

Your TV requires new LED strips.  The parts are cheap but the problem is when they go high resistance and get super hot, they melt the light guide behind the LCD causing those bright white spots and sometimes cracking.  No way to repair the light guide so my preferred path forward is to find a broken screen TV of the same model and swap your LCD into that screen, or if the model is different, buy new LEDS and replace the ones in your tv while putting a light guide from a broken screen TV into your tv.   I'm sure a repair shop would do this for you if you had all the parts for them but would take an hour or two of their shop time.

It’s not taken seriously at all by Samsung.. I am having the same problem as are many customers. This should have been recalled as its a fire risk.my tv is less than 2 years old… I thought I had done my warranty but due to moving I must have forgotten.. even so a tv under 2 years old should not be doing this …it gets so hot you can not touch it upon saying this to the complaint department his response was my tv gets hot … what a joke.also told that Samsung do not have any complaints due to this issue when clearly its all over this forum and Google ..I could not believe what he was saying.

im currently looking into if I can take it to the small claims court ,health and safety, trading standards..surly Samsung can not get away with selling dangerous products
