Samsung TV has got a green screen when viewing TV. The menus are all in normal colours, including Netflix etc, but when you start to watch a program the picture is green as shown. I have factory reset and still the same

Turn off your TV. Unplug the power cable from the TV and the wall outlet for at least 60 seconds. Hold down the power button on the side of the TV for about 10 seconds to release the power. Re-plug the power cable and power on the TV to see whether the TV screen green issue is solved

Hi @Over88mph  Welcome to the Samsung community :smiling-face:

in picture settings-Expert settings check the Tint (G/R), does adjusting that make any difference, could also look at colour and contrast Enhancer.  it is generally recommended to have the Tint set at 0 and on relatively Modern Tv's contrast Enhancer  tends to be best set at low level.

if this does not help other than the advice above an idea to disconnect external Devices and disconnect the Tv from the mains before connecting again.   However  otherwise if a picture Test reveals errors  would need to get in touch with Samsung https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/tv-audio-video/how-do-i-run-a-picture-test-self-diagnosis-on-my-t...

support options detailed here https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/

I tried the above when it twent wrong, but it didn't fix anything. Also did a factory reset and it didn't fix it. As you can see in the picture, the menus, Netflix etc is all the correct colour, it is only when you watch a program or stream that the picture is green. Also the same for a DVD. The DVD menu is normal, but the movie itself is green

Samsung support are no use whatsoever. They simply suggested the things that I've already done. System reset etc. Im pretty sure that a software update would fix the issue, but unfortunately the last update was in February 2024. There is also no way to reinstall the software / firmware via USB. So although everything else is fine, it looks like I'm stuck with a TV that cannot be used.

All Samsung could suggest is leaving the tv off for a few days, and retrying it. This of course didn't fix anything

Can you confirm if errors are highlighted in the Picture Test? In any case whilst software updates can fix this sort of issue not the case if it is hardware related. If all Troubleshooting tried I think it needs professional input as may need repair but depends on the viability of it. Which model do you have?
