Qled Q50 No Record on standard remote

Hi all, am i being thick or has Samsung taken a backward step, ive just upgraded to a 50" QLED the remote ir tx is no longer fitted so you can have the sky box in a cabinet and the standard remote does not have a record button so as i see it the concept of a universal remote is no longer possible. ive bought a magic eye using the i/o port so i can control the sky box while its tucked away, Sound bar is fine too, just no record button, does anyone know why?? thanks

Thanks for your response Sorry for the delay in writing, the 123 button on the smart control does nothing whatsoever, even if it did offer a record facility does it not defeat the point of having one control?
