I have only had my tv for 4 months and it has developed lines, from top to bottom, right across the screen. Has anyone any ideas what the issue could be?

That's not what we like to hear. We're not able to see the lines too clearly from the photo provided. Are you able to send us another photo please? Do the lines appear if you run a picture test on the TV? Go to Home > Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Picture Test.
I now have an engineer booked to replace the screen? Not great...
here's a picture from the screen test. The lines going across are not an effect from the camera, they are always there. They are dark on the left and fade to white on the right of the screen. Suddenly appeared whilst watching a film.

Samsung are going to send an engineer out - what happened with yours?
I wouldn’t consider a repair to a brand new TV so the courier is picking it up tomorrow.
Ive kept the faith as already ordered another Samsung, this is the first time I’ve had an issue with their products so all good
