Hi everyone,

Recently my one connect box started behave oddly.

I have 2 hdmi source always plugged: a Vodafone TV box and a Playstation 5. On the last month sometimes, when I turn off the Vodafone TV Box, Playstation 5 turns on. Or sometimes this happen and also turns off the tv while I'm seeing Netflix or another similar app. It's pretty annoying and I'm affraid that turn on/off multiple times can harm my PS5 or even the tv.

Have you found himself or someone you know on that situation? What should I do?

Hi there and warm welcome

it's likely because of the Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) feature.

Depending on your TV model try go to settings > general > external device manager > turn off Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)

Or settings > system > expert > anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) and turn it off

I'll try it and see for a few days if it fix.

Just go into your PS5 settings and switch OFF "HDMI Link Device". Having this OFF on the PS5 means it will not switch on/off with other devices. I had the same thing happen with my S95D, Nvidia Shield Pro and PS5. I found for my Nvidia Shield Pro I needed to wake it first with the remote then switch OFF so it and the TV went OFF at the same time otherwise TV would go OFF and Shield would start up.
