Not able (any more) to record UE55NU7400

Hi,

I have a UE55NU7400 smart TV, bought in the UK in 2021. I have always been able to record on an external HDD. I moved to Italy 2 years ago and haven't tried to record any more until now. Now, I get a "failed to record" message. Please note that I can see the HDD, and the pre-existing titles and recordings can be played without any problem, and there are more than 100 GB available.

I am afraid that Samsung pushed some update that disables this possibility.

Can someone enlighten me on this regard, or even suggest a fix? Thanks

PVR (Personal Video Recorder) and Timeshift do not work in Italy, closed at the software level of the TV. Try setting UK in the settings, if there is no blocking of this function by IP address, this may work, but the available apps in the store will also change depending on the country setting.

Thank you, but as a matter of fact it turned out to be a hard disk problem. I fixed it by attaching it to a laptop and running a chkdsk. 

Off topic, but perhaps somebody can suggest a solution: being a TV for the UK market, when tuning the channels in Italy the logical numbers (LCN) are completely random (for instance, as having BBC1 on channel no. 327). Is there any way to change the TV settings to the Italian market? At setup the only two options available are UK or Ireland ,and in the service menu I have selected "PANEURO" (there is no separate UK or Italy setting)
