No sound.

My Samsung Smart TV has no sound. 

It says on screen that the sound is on 13. When I press the volume key up or down the sound will just set back to 13 again. 

Still no sound. 

The mute button does nothing. 

The sports mode button does nothing. 

Help!

Hi @Jon42086  Is there no effect if you change channels and switch back again as sometimes that can sort out glitches.  If  can switch channels batteries in Remote should be ok.  Though do you have the latest firmware-check on the Samsung Support site and enter model no https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/  Have you tried resetting the sound, Sound- Expert Settings-Reset Sound.   Otherwise you could try a  Factory Reset and/or unplugging set for around 5 minutes.

I have now tried all of the above. 

Still stuck. Honestly, I'm stumped man. Such a strange fault. It's been flawless for two years.

@Jon42086  ok,  can you check your connections just to make sure  they are secure.  Is this via  have Tv speakers ,  if another source check you have right output.  Have you checked Sound Test on Support-self Diagnosis?  Possibly you may need to contact Samsung support if issue persists. You do not mention model but  Uk details here https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/#general
