New firmware released today for 2019 models - 1351.3


Hi Everybody,


As I see the new ver. 1351.3 firmware has been released for 2019 series (RU series and others).


Do you know anything about the changelog? What's new?

(by the way.. is it possible to release divx codec in the future for these new models as before? :smiling-face: )

So, in mean time this update should be treated like disease and is big No-No?

-Fixed a bug that could lead to image errors in the PIP display. -The zapping performance has been improved. -Improved image display in Netflix for 8K TVs

btw. to upgrade a HDMI port with ARC (2.0b) to eARC (2.1)
demands that the eARC portion have been added to the HDMI 2.0b based devices via a firmware update,
provides that the manufacturers have made this part of the equipment design, without that its not
possible to upgrade your HDMI port.

I now have to use Optical Out when watching Netflix.

Apple TV app seems to still work with HDMI ARC and so does watching channel from digital TV (antenna)

In the Netflix app there is no possibility to change sound from tv. Only DD+ which is grayed out....

So ignore this update if you use HDMI ARC and watch Netflix.





Am new here. Pls let me know whether 5Ghz band working for RU7100 with this new update? 


Ru7100 does not support wifi 5ghz band. No hardware for 5ghz.



Jus now saw this video and it was mentioned that RU7100 does support 5ghz wifi band. 

Yes i watched it. i think it varies from region to region. i can confirm in UK and Asia ru7100 does not support 5ghz wifi.
Before buying i talked to samsung and samsung said it does not support 5ghz.
Did you update to latest firmware?
Hows the connectivity to 2.4ghz then? Any wifi drop issues?

I have two issues with the virsion :1335 

1- Projection via wireless from PC (freezed screen or disconect after 3 min)

2-Message with \ "Missing plugin \" from videos while learning online using Samsung browser.


so any one has this issue and is it solve after update to 1351 ?
