Missing IP address on TV so won't connect to wireless router

Hi,

The IP address fields are all set to 0.0.0.0.0s on my Samsung UE32 M5520 TV (2018) so it won't connect to the wireless router.
Does anyone know how I find the numbers  for:

IP Address

Subnet Mask

Gateway

DNS Server

so I can enter them manually, please?

There is a MAC address but Samsung support told me it was invalid, 'has no value'.

I have done a factory reset but it doesn't help and switched everything off and on again and all that.

The router uses WPS but the TV can't find it whether I press the WPS button or not.

The TV does connect to the internet when wired, but it's not possible to leave the router connected permanently by an ethernet cable.

Thanks, Sarah

Consider creating a MoCa connection, which uses two MoCa bridges to create a "wired" connection; mine connects from my upstairs computer room where the router is to the downstairs Samsung Smart TV (series 6). In the TVs settings when you choose wireless or wired internet, you will choose wired. The MoCa network uses your electrical wiring in the walls to create a wired connection, and the Samsung TV should recognize easily; I decided to create this type of network when a wireless one did not seem to work well. You can also try holding the remote power button down for about 5 seconds until your TV resets and attempts to recognize internally the DHCP signal on its own; that worked for me once when I had connection issues.

All that information is usually issued by you router where dhcp is normally turned on.

There are not default information that you can enter.

Not all TV support wps, so may not work.

If you have you wifi ssid and pw you should be able to enter that in when you try connect it to your wifi

I had the same problem when trying to connect my TV in the normal way (entering wifi name & password), but lucky my TV supported WPS (didn't know this at first).

In the TV menu, network settings I found there was a WPS option, i selected this. Then went to my router and pressed the WPS button and it all connected. hope this helps someone 🙂
