How to connect wired headphones to Samsung TV

Trying to connect wired headphones to a Samsung TV for an elderly relative who is having a hard time with wireless headphone connectivity.

The Samsung model is a Crystal UHF DU2700 43” TV.

Connectivity ports include:

1 - USB A

1 - USB

3 - HDMI

1 - eARC HDMI

1 -LAN

I purchased a DAC to try to connect the wired headphones, but there is NO Optical Port on this Samsung model.

The TV is connected to a Spectrum TV converter box which has an optical port and tried using the converter box various ways to set up the wired headphones, but still not able to pass the sound to them.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!  Thanks!

If your TV doesn't have a 3.5mm jack but has RCA stereo outputs, get an RCA-to-3.5mm adapter and use your headphones that way.
Did you also go into the TV sound settings after plugging in the dac? Might be you had to change the sound out put on the TV.
