Have just set up my new Samsung S90D.
I have tried to scan, I have tried to delete Samsung TV Plus...but no matter what I do I cannot get any terrestrial channels (bbc1, ITV etc).
I know Freeview is not available. I very much need these channels or else the TV is going back. I don't have an aerial.
These worked fine with my older Samsung TV.
What are my options please?
Thanks.

In order to receive terrestrial channels you will need either:
1. An aerial (scan won't pick up any channels without this OR
2. A steaming service (freely?) which you'll need to connect your TV to internet first.
3. Sky stream / sky q

Hi and thanks for the reply.
So, no aerial. Just using Virgin box.
The TV is internet connected, are you suggesting there is an app in the Samsung app store Incan use for this?
Is there no hope in using the Virgin Media app for this? I've tried but the test that it involves during set up (change channel up or down) doesn't work...the Virgin app just plays one single channel only.
Very annoying as this all worked on my 15 year old Samsung tele but that was just using the Virgin Media app - which is why I'm keep to get that working.
Thanks.

So I'm trying to set up Service Provider. Used postcode and selected Virgin London. All good.
Then the Set Up TV "the test to check if your Samsung remote can control your cable box". And the Channel Up / Down isn't working so ....idk!

The remote control feature falls under Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC). Make sure this is enabled under Settings > Connections > External Device Manager > Toggle on Anynet+.

As an update...I've spoken to Samsung who were not of much help, directing me to Virgin instead.
An engineer is calling tomorrow a d hopefully he will be able to check why I can't engage with the Virgin Media hub - as this is the only way I'm going to be able to get Terrestrial on my tv
