I have a 50” HD Smart TV, about six years old. It could receive all the HD channels available in my region, but it has suddenly decided to lose them all and I cannot seem to find them again. I have performed auto tune and manual tune but still no HD channels. In my area the HD channels are available on channel 21, however when I try to manually return and find channel 21 it finds nothing. I know it is not a problem with aerial because I have swapped it with another TV and that works perfectly well. Can anyone suggest any solutions?

Thank you claus4. I can tune to all the TV channels available free of charge. This includes BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 plus many more. These channels are not HD but are SD. They are, as you suggest, DIGITAL channels as the analogue signal was turned off some time ago. But they are all Standard Definition rather than High Definition.
To be totally clear, the TV will tune into every available Freeview channel in standard definition but has now lost all high definition channels. BBC1HD, BBC2HD, ITVHD, Channel 4HD, Channel 5HD etc. The TV used to have them but has suddenly lost them. There was no change of aerial or any other equipment. I don’t have any form of set top box or satellite TV or subscription service (other than Netflix).
I have tried a different TV in the same room, using the same aerial, power supply etc. That works fine. I retuned this other TV while it was set up in that room and it found all the channels available in my area, including all the HD channels.

I just bought a UE50TU8500 and I have the same problem. I miss HD channels from 101 to 105. I have swapped the previous TV where I could see them perfectly and now the Samsung cannot provide the same result.

Did you finally sort this issue?
My 50” Series 8 has also just done this. My older Samsung TV still sees the HD channels (on the same aerial) and my 2020 model had them the other day but has now lost them. Tried rescanning and a reset.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
