Game motion plus broken with #QN90A and all Neo QLEDs

Game motion plus does not interpolate 60Hz signal to 120Hz in game mode using De-judder setting. Nothing happens when playing 30fps game and console outputting 60Hz. Game motion plus works great with 2020 Q90T and all T series TV but not with 2021 Neo QLEDs. Just bring the old algorithm for game motion plus back!

This is broken feature. Just fixt it. Easy job.

Thanks for confirming I was going to try 2000.1 but now I'll just wait for your version to drop. Since you are in Australia hopefully they put the firmware on the Samsung Australian support page soon.

Firmware you talking about is for qn95a with one connect box. I have EU qn90a and no firmware update since 1904

I have the QN85A, but I believe they share the same or similar firmware as mine was also 1904 prior to the update to 2001

I've just purchased the QN95A and found this thread. As my heart sank it jumped seeing that some guys here have had the fortune of jumping to firmware 2001. No such option for us yet it seems. Their site has the manual USB update firmware option but no files for 2001. Is it too dodgy to assume I can source these 2001 files elsewhere and have them work on this TV. I suppose it's hard to say, sometimes firmware is shared but released in staggered. Sometimes we'll get subtle differences per model which may or may not cause iffy to catastrophic behaviour... or ideally, would fail safely. Has anyone had any success with trying to move to the new firmware when it's not available through the TV update?

Would just like to confirm that judder reduction is working in game mode now. Is it as good as judder reduction without game mode? Nope. Is it better than not working at all? Definitely. On firmware 2001.3

I just got the 2001 Update on my QN90A (Brazilian Version), and can confirm that they did fix motion plus not doing anything on game mode for 30fps games, there is a significant reduction in artifacts (compared to motion plus outside game mode) and is actually playable now! I still think that the previous implementation on older Samsumg TV's was a bit smoother, but it is possible they are still refining it.

Agreed. Its not as smooth as smoothing outside of game mode, but unlike the standard smoothing it generally gives a clean image with close to no artefacts. Only some occasional situations it can give odd results.

Overall though, I would prefer the less fluid motion with minimal artefacts, but if future updates improve it further I won't complain.

Have been playing some games in quality mode for better visuals while not taking as big of a hit on smoothness, and some older PS3 games get a new smoother feel like motorstorm :smiling-face: Playing some older PS1 games is very effective, Ridge Racer 4 is feeling pretty slick :face-with-tears-of-joy:

...65Qn95a...

Firmware is Up to date.

Judder reduction without gamemode works very well.

With Gamemode IT has No effect.

Very annoying
