Hi, I just purchased the Samsung 4k 2020 UHD TV model number UE43TU7020KXXU. I have spent hours trying to find channels using the ariel (cables) throughout every Arial in the house but it is findiing 0 channels, saying there is no signal. The arial is working with every TV. I am following the troubleshouting but need some more help to know what I am doing wrong. I purchased the TV as it says it has:

  • Freeview HD digital tuner.
  • Freeview HD (UK) and Saorview (ROI).
  • Saorview digital tuner (Saorview can only be received in the Republic of Ireland

Any help would be appreciated before I end up returning this as faulty..

It has a built in aerial, don't connect any external ones or cables. Let it autotune

I am in the same position.

Tried every possible option and no Freeview channels available.  Feel like I've been misled

I have exactly the same problem. Wasted a whole afternoon trying to get it to tune. The other TVs in the house (and the one it replaces) all had perfect pictures and all the normal tv channels available to us.

samsung TV channels are not what I want!

please can someone from Samsung advice?

thanks Tom

@Tom787: Do you have an aerial connected to the AIR/CABLE input on the back of the TV, as this will be required to tune the Freeview channels to your TV. This should preferably be connected to a roof mounted aerial to allow for a broader scope when tuning the channels.

Hi there,

Yes- we have a roof mounted aerial and it is plugged into it.

we have a new Sony TV and a Bush TV that work with no problem from this aerial. This is replacing the Bush.

I have tried it plugged into the Tv aerial points in both rooms.

as others have said, it gives me the option only to auto tune. The option to manually tune is greyed out and can’t be selected.

perhaps there is a fault?

thank Tom

Did you manage to sort the issue out?

Had to get an aerial specialist out in the end and buy a new booster - even though the Sony and Bush TV had no problem tuning in, the Samsung wouldn’t. Yet another thing plugged in permanently into the mains. So I’ll be avoiding a Samsung next time!
