We've had our QLED Q60 since the end of the 2020 and since around November last year it spontaneously glitches on screen with a black haze and then enters a constant cycle of restarting.

We have occasionally managed to force it into Amazon Prime and then run the Device Care or Reset which has made it work for a couple more months before it then happens again.

I was worried it was due to faulty HDMI cables connecting to my Switch or Xbox Series S but replacing them has not fixed the issue. I've tried following fix tips online such as unplugging the cable from the socket for 30 secs but no luck.

How has this been allowed to ship without a patch or fix/recall as 3 years is not a great life cycle for a TV when I recall having family TVs for up to 10 years!

Any help that doesn't involve paying more money out for a simple fix would be great!

It sounds frustrating to experience these issues with your QLED Q60 TV. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

1. **Update Firmware**: Ensure that your TV's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs and improve stability. You can check for updates in the TV's settings menu under Support or Software Update.

2. **Check Power Source**: Make sure the TV is plugged into a stable power source directly (avoid using power strips or extension cords if possible). Electrical instability can sometimes cause issues like spontaneous restarts.

3. **Factory Reset**: Perform a factory reset on your TV. This will restore it to its original settings and may resolve software glitches causing the restarts. Note that this will erase all settings and data, so you'll need to set up your TV again afterwards.

4. **Contact Samsung Support**: Since you've already tried various troubleshooting steps without success, it may be beneficial to contact Samsung support directly. Explain the issue in detail, including the steps you've already taken. They may have additional troubleshooting steps or be aware of specific issues with your model that require professional attention.

Regarding your concern about the TV's lifespan and the need for patches or recalls, it's unfortunate but sometimes issues can arise due to various factors including software bugs or component failures. Manufacturers typically provide warranties and support for such cases, so reaching out to Samsung support is your best course of action at this point.

By following these steps, you may be able to resolve the issue with your TV without incurring additional costs.
