TV is brand new. Got it yesterday.  This morning, when first turned on, screen was dim. When I clicked PICTURE and picked STANDARD again (it was already on standard) the picture then brightened nicely. When I shut it off and turned it back on, it did it again.
This happened multiple times. So, I unplugged the LAN cable that I had attached to it and turned it on again and it went away. I could not find any Auto Dimming settings, and reached out to Samsung Support who really could not help me either. Is it a LAN issue? Auto setting issue? Clock issue? Figured someone else must have had this issue.
I am not sure if the LAN cable being unplugged was a coincidence or not.
My problem is I don't want to have unplug the LAN before I turn the TV on every day. Thanks in advance!!

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!!

*
Firmware Update: Check if your TV has the latest firmware. Go to your TV's settings, look for "Support" or "Software Update," and check for updates. Even if it says it's up-to-date, sometimes forcing a check can find a hidden update.

*
Factory Reset: As a last resort, perform a factory reset. This will erase all settings and return the TV to its original state. Note: You'll have to set up everything again.
Go to Settings
> General > Reset (or similar, depending on your Samsung model

*
Power Cycle: Unplug the television from the wall outlet. Hold the power button on the television itself for 30 seconds. Then plug the tv back into the wall outlet.

Im unsure why LAN would affect this but- a suggestion
Check Network Settings: Ensure your TV's network settings are correct. Try switching from a wired (LAN) connection to Wi-Fi, or vice versa, to see if the problem persists.

Router Issues: Restart your router. Sometimes, network glitches originate from the router.

IP Conflicts: If your router is set to give out static IP addresses, make sure there are no conflicts. If it is set to DHCP, make sure that it is working correctly.

DNS Settings: Try changing the TV's DNS settings to a public DNS server, like Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

While you've searched for auto-dimming, there might be other power-saving features that are less obvious.

Explore All Picture Settings:

Thoroughly examine all picture settings, including advanced settings. Look for anything related to "Eco Mode," "Energy Saving," or "Ambient Light Sensor" (even if you don't think you have one).

Accessibility Settings: Some TVs have accessibility settings that can affect brightness. Check these as well.

Seeing as you've just gotten the tv- its still in the return window. If you feel like something isn't right/ its broken it may be worth returning

The reset has been done as well as powering off and unplugging. I have checked and rechecked every single dimming or eco option available.
There seems to be no Auto Dimming selection on this menu, just a small menu with Eco on/off and one other setting. Accessibility and General menus as well. I tried all those.
I will try the LAN suggestions you mentioned for sure.  I don't know if the unplugging the LAN actually corrected it or if it was just a coincidence.  I will try again tomorrow with the LAN connected and see what happens. If it is still an issue, I will just return the TV and go get a different brand.  It should not be this difficult and I was pretty disappointed in Samsung Support chat's help too.
I only have a couple days left until I can return it for refund so either all these changes work or they won't.  Seems like it was only an issue in the morning, and I an unable to replicate it right now to troubleshoot further, so I am under a time constraint with the Return Policy.  Thanks so much!!!

Exactly that. Its not worth risking losing out the return window. Keep updated 😊

I will for sure. Thank you again.  Really wanted it to be a good TV because my last Samsung was but I can't afford to keep a bad TV and won't risk buying another one.

I've searched extensively for an answer, but I hope you find it.

Why does IPTV cut out on Samsung screens, but it's normal on other Android devices? Do you have a solution?

I recommend posting in your local community. Are you in the UK/EU? If so, post in that community; otherwise, post in your dedicated community. It may also be helpful to contact Samsung Support directly.
