Hi guys,
I've the UE75RU7105KXXC and I was wondering if it's possible for the tv to automatically connect to my Bluetooth headphones as soon as I turn them on. They are already paired with the tv, but it's annoying having to manually connect them every time I turn the tv on.
cheers

2 years and this has not been addressed, I should just return this tv to costco, but dang what a pain

@samsung can you please address this on current models? ... at a minimum, implementation on new models? It's easy: a list of approved, secured and previously setup Bluetooth devices get auto connect. ... hire me for more tips.

It doesn't look like this is going to be addressed in already released models. The only real workaround is to get one of those 30$ bluetooth transmitters (that does not turn itself off automatically), and hook it up to the optical output of the TV. On my set I have a soundbar, so I had to buy a simple optical splitter to run to the BT transmitter and the soundbar. The BT transmitter just sits behind the tv and is on all the time. I hated having to do it.. but it works. I actually have this method in place in two places in the house.

I just ended up connecting an Amazon firestick 4k to the TV. The firestick lets you connect bluetooth directly to it. Once it is setup, if your bluetooth headset/speakers are on at the time that you turn your tv on they will automatically connect. If the bluetooth device is not on then then the firestick will go back to using the TV. speaker. The only gotcha is that you can't use volume control on the firestick to control the bluetooth volume. You'll need a bluetooth device that has its own volume control. Also, this solution works for me because everything I watch is through the firestick.

I noticed that if there are multiple bluetooth options such as bluetooth speaker, multiple headsets, etc. the auto connect prompt will not show up. Thus you have to do it via settings and choose the device you want to connect. If you only have 1 device the auto connect prompt will show up.

This is just like why Samsung lost a 20,000 phone deal. They are now losing a complete casino hotel chain over a single engineer myself that has watched them let this bake for two years. So when the Casino chain for a MASSIVE number of TV's(they have > 25k tv's here to) goes with other than Samsung you can thank you this single engineer?

@NotFrustrated I am having a little trouble following.

on my tv this works automstically about 50% of the time. The other 50% I have to go through the 20 click process to go to settings/sound/6 sound tupes/turn on/yes connect/yes connect and then reverse the process. Can’t imagine the software engineer who came up with this. Imagine if their phone software was like this. Wiuld never sell a phone.

That is how I do it as well. It is the only way at this time. It is not the best but out works.
