Hello !

I have a 2020 The Frame QE65LS03T and I have a few issues with the Art Mode (and it seems I am not alone)

Art Mode Mention Sensor is set to highest sensibility possible, it has nos issue for turning off on its own when it has too, but most of the time it does not turn on, and almost never in the morning (when I go to bed the TV is showing Art Mode and it does turn off perfectly when light goes off, but when I turn lights back on in the morning and move in front on the TV, Art mode does not start).

Am I missing something ?

Thank you for your help !

Unfortunately I experience the same issue. Although mine never turns back on to art mode when turned of by either no motion or no light. Would love to see a fix for this. Now I'm still starring at a black screen most of the times

Same issue here. Brand new 65” 2020 frame put up today and the art mode doesn’t dim correctly, switches off when lights are still on and people are moving in the room, and doesn’t turn on when lights are on. It’s set to night mode on, motion sensetivity high, sleep after 5 mins, eco functions off.

So wish I had seen these threads before purchasing two TVs....

I have this issue, too, on my 2021 - but I'm not convinced yet that it's the TV. First, I'm wondering if the  energy-saving features might be doing something (there's an option to set the auto-turn-off delay but no 'auto-on' setting) so  I set the energy saving to 'off'.  Secondly, in the art settings, there's a "Sleep After" tab that goes from 'off' to '4 hrs' and it says it will automatically turn the TV off AND on - I had it set to off so I'm going to try '5 minutes' (because I wonder if 'off' disables the auto-on, too).

Following up - what I found worked best was to 1) turn off the energy saving.  2) turn off the motion sensing (because no motion will turn off the TV when the lights are on), and 3) play with the lighting a bit.  My TV didn't turn on with the overhead light (sensor is in the shadow of the tv itself, LOL) but would reliably turn on/off when a table lamp was turned on/off across the room (the sensor had a good line-of-sight to this lamp).

Samsung, one good add in the future would be a light sensitivity adjustment to set the light levels at which the user wants to turn the TV on and off and adjust the change in TV/art-mode brightness corresponding to changes in room lighting.

Same problem, but both my motion and light sensors do not turn on the TV. I spent hour upon hour on the phone with Samsung technical support trying to resolve it, they ended up giving me a full refund for the TV. Foolishly, I bought a new one thinking it was just a defective unit. But now I’m having the exact same problem. Seems like there motion and light sensors just don’t work on these TVs which takes away the whole point of owning a Frame TV.

Why isn't Samsung responding to this? I would also like to add that it's beyond annoying that I must press the remote power button for three full seconds to power off the TV. This dual-purpose power button scenario makes it almost impossible to power down the TV without 2 or 3 tries. Maddening!

I had the same problem. after reading the comments here I gave up looking for a solution. one day I was playing with the settings, I decided to turn on the automatic shutdown, which was off for 1 hour. with this change the other 2 options (motion and light sensor) also worked. now I set the automatic shutdown to 5 minutes and the other methods work with it. I hope it helps you too

This started working for me randomly one day and now it stopped. Very very annoying. I cannot seem to get it set back up. I suspect a Samsung Update is what broke it.
