All4 ITV hub apps

About 2 weeks ago the itv hub and all 4 stopped working in my Samsung TV. I can see the Home Screen but videos won’t play. 
They work fine upstairs with my fire stick. 
All other apps are fine.

We are currently aware of issues with both these apps and are investigating the root cause. Could we take the full model code and software version of your TV please? Go to Home > Settings > Support > About this TV.

I have the same issue with samsung ue46f6320 smart TV and online its states Because of itv upgrading their content protection technologies - this prevents its working with older operating systems on smart tvs.  Is there any way the operating system can be upgraded on a  samsung ue46f6320 smart TV.  Thanks
