I have a Samsung Smart TV 7 Series (UA43RU7100K). When I did the setup, I could connect my iPhone X to the TV via AirPlay, but now it does not work at all.
My TV and phone is connected to the same wifi.
Please help

Changing TV’s WiFi to 2.4G works like a charm for me. Thanks!

I had to pair the Samsung TV again with my iPad and iPhone Bluetooth again for it to work.

Having the same issue. Except my tv stays connected to the router via cable. Updated phone unplugged and plugged the cable back in. Reset the router and nothing. I got a message that says “6” not connected to internet. Also “null” not connected. Any thoughts?

Having the same problem but none of the methods I saw online was able to solve it. I figured out some ways by my own, and hopefully it could help anyone who also having this problem:
Method ❶:
•Find “Reset” in your “Setting”-“General”, then reset everything from the start.
•Connect Airplay
If Method ❶ isn't working, try Method ❷:
•“Setting”-“General”-“Network”-“Network Status”-“Retry”-“Close”
•Reconnect the Wi-Fi on your iPhone
•Connect Airplay
If both of them don't work, try Method ❸:
•Check if you have ever changed your default Wi-Fi password, if yes, reset it to the default one.
•Reconnect the Wi-Fi on TV and your iPhone
•Connect Airplay
⬆️Some unprofessional methods but successfilly solved the problem.

I solved this by changing my TV’s internet connection to the 2.4Ghz band. When I reconnected my TV to the internet, it prompted me to use the 5Ghz band, and I had to click cancel to stick with 2.4Ghz. So you may be on the 5Ghz band without really realising.
Go to settings, general, network, then connect to your internet ‘without’ 5Ghz in the name. When prompted to use the 5Ghz band instead, click cancel. This solved the problem for me.

The airplay function was working perfectly for weeks until one day it didn’t. I have tried every solution listed on this thread and nothing works. The TV shows the airplay option as functioning. Everything goes fine until I go to connect and the wheel spins on the screen until infinity. Plugging directly into the router is not an option, as they are on different floors.
I have:
- unplugged router, TV, powered phone off and on, reset factory settings on TV, re-entered WiFi password, made sure both phone and TV are on same WiFi, they are both on 2 ghz...
NOT ideal, Samsung. This is a new TV! 👎🏼

I plan to return the faulty TV and get a better one. Any suggestions?

I do not think your tv is faulty. Originally bought the newest LG OLED tv $800 more than samsung. Worked for days with apple and Lg support to see why airplay would not work, even had a tech to the house to figure it out. He couldnt! Returned tv figuring it was faulty and bought the samsung QLED8 and the same problem. Its not your TV or Samsung. Who knows? I do have a LG OLED smaller tv in my home and it worked when I bought the biggest one on 2nd floor of house it didnt. I have removed all devices from Bluetooth to start all over from both my Applemac book and my iphone XR I will keep you posted if I can fix it. Save yourself time - it is not a faulty TV. Two different brands top dollar and both did not connect to Airplay.
