Hi.TV 65" OLED S90D 4K Smart TV (2024) [QE65S90DAUXRU]. Sometimes there is a problem with the sound. The sound becomes very quiet, like from a barrel, and volume control does not affect it in any way. This does not happen during viewing, but after turning on the TV from sleep mode. Only disconnecting from the power supply helps. After turning on, everything works until the next time. The problem occurs somewhere once every 5-7 days. Software version - Version 1201. I found another description of the same problem here https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED/comments/1fuz7ad/samsung_s90d_audio_issue/

I’ve been experiencing the exact same issue with my Samsung S90D OLED TV. I also came across the suggestion to disconnect the power supply, which does temporarily fix the problem. However, I’m wondering if there’s any other permanent solution or if we can expect official support to address this. Has anyone found a better fix or received help from Samsung for this issue?

Hi, same problem here with this tv. To me it occurs every 2/3 days. There is no need to unplug, you can push the power button on remote for few seconds, in will reboot and be fine untile next time.
Today I got a technician, he told me that audio changed to 2.1 (instead 3.1), disabling the central speaker. He did change some settings but mentioned to me that if it come back they will need to change the motherboard. I still have time to return it so probably I will, don’t want to keep a expensive unlucky tv

I was playing with the sound in the settings. When this problem appeared, it was in the "amplification" mode. I put it in the normal mode. For two weeks, the problem has not appeared again. Maybe it's a coincidence. I'll watch for another week, if everything is fine, I'll return to the "amplification" mode. If the problem appears again and taking into account the information from the post above, then we can assume that the problem lies in the sound amplifier cascade. If so, then for me this is not a critical problem, I did not notice a strong improvement in the sound when using the amplification mode.

It also happened to me when the sound was in "amplified" mode. I've had the TV for about two months now, and so far, it only happened once. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

I was in a hurry to write yesterday. Today, even in the "standard" sound mode, the problem appeared after switching on. If this is really a hardware problem, and Samsung does not solve it programmatically, then, apparently, I will have to return the TV while it is under warranty.

Thanks for the update! That sounds really frustrating. When did you buy the TV, and how long did it take for this issue to show up? Also, have you reached out to Samsung customer service yet? Curious to know if they offered any solution

The TV is one month old. The problem has appeared four times. I have not contacted the service yet. I wanted to understand the dynamics and features of the problem.

I have the same problem - happens almost every day now.
I plugged the TV into a power bar with an on/off switch to make it easier to reset it. I'm glad there is a "work around" but not happy about this happening on our expensive new TV.
Hope there is a software fix for this.

Did you end up returning it or did it never come back? It just happened to me and rebooting fixed it. I can still return it but would rather not if I can avoid it.
