I reset my 55 inch Curved UN55RU7300FXZA and am now unable to add it to a room in SmartThings. It gets stuck at 39% or it will state that they are unable to add the TV to the room and will be added to the Directly Connected Devices area. I am using a Galaxy S9 on OS version 10.
I've been on with Samsung support and they are also unable to resolve the issue.
Tried the following:
-Reset internet modem and connected both TV/Phone to my 2.4 network
-Cleared cache SmartThings app and uninstall/reinstall
-Disconnected TV from power on for 2min then reconnecting it
-Removed from Directly Connected devices from phone
-Reset SmartHub on TV
Thru Directly Connected Devices, I am unable to control TV unless it is on.
Is there anything else I can try?
They were unable to assist. I was able to resolve the issue by adding the TV back thru my iPad. Turns out it's my phone because I purchased a couple of Smart Wall Outlets and the same thing happened with my phone when trying to add them.... stuck at 32%. I used my iPad and that resolved that issue.
Any suggestions on how to make my phone work again with SmartThings? Factory reset? Nothing specialist team tried worked.
