My QE55QN95AATXXU has recently updated its firmware to 2210.
I now find that the Freesat Guide won't update the program synopsis at the top of the page.
If I re-tune to 'Satellite' (rather than 'Freesat', the guide works fine. It seems to be the Freesat guide that has the problem.
I've tried re-tuning and I have also factory reset the TV with no success.
Is anyone else having this problem and, if so, is there a workaround?

you say that you have raised this at the 'Samsung End'. It has now been over six months, do we assume that there will be no further updates for this firmware which has screwed these TVs? I recently spoke to Samsung support and they couldn't be more disinterested if they tried!
Like many people on here I regret buying a Samsung TV and spending over £1,500 on a Samsung soundbar.

Is there anything the end users can do to hurry things up? For instance, can we e-mail the software developers direct?

I think Samsung would rather you buy a newer model. Don't hold your breath on this.

I spoke to Samsung support, they went through a childish to do list and then blamed it on FreeSat basically they couldn't give a sh!t. This has been six months now, its quite possible that there will be no further updates for the affected models.
I have a 5yr Guarantee via Richer Sounds and they were no help either saying it was software related, so apparently if you have a 5yr guarantee and a firmware update bricks your TV you don't have a leg to stand on.
I bought this TV and spent over £1,500 on a Samsung soundbar, to be honest I wish I hadn't bothered, won't do it again!

Hi @AntS . Could you please find an update on this? This has been an issue for too long now given that it was introduced in the last software release over 6 months ago. Thanks

I think it’s unlikely that we will now get a fix for this problem. There have been two further iterations of this model since. If they put new firmware out, they have to issue a new SDK to each major app manufacturer, who in turn have to consider whether they put out a new patch for their own app to ensure compliance, even though this is not specifically an app related issue. This is a major headache for everyone. Needless to say some product manager back at Samsung has probably had a major rollocking over this. So don’t hold your breath, and consider offloading your TV, I know I am…

I have a QE55Q80AATXXU with version 2210.1 firmware, just found out a new version is on the Samsung website version 2220.9 only available for USB stick upgrade tv doesn't find it if you do update. Just loaded it and it fixes synopsis at top of screen updating on guide.

Thank you so much, will be updating mine as soon as the kids have gone to bed!
@AntSwhy does it take your customers to work out these are available?! I've been a long standing customer of Samsung products but the lack of updates on this and the black screen issue which has been widely reported on this forum with no acknowledgement show how much Samsung really care about their products and customers when things go wrong. I certainly will be thinking very carefully of which TV to buy next time, my brand loyalty has definitely been damaged.
