My screen is not uniform at all. Under any circumstance i.e. pc gaming or netflix with the inbuilt app, every time a white-ish background comes up you can see the two black/grey spots or zones in the TV. Once you see you cannot un-see it. I have done all the troubleshooting and right now waiting to hear back from the repair service. My first 4k TV from Samsung and very disappointing!!!

Ok I also have 2020 Q80T 85" QLED TV with the same dark patch issues in the bottom right corner. Purchased around Semptember last year. A month later I noticed a bright spot which eventually turned dark. I then did the screen test and confirmed it was the TV. I then contacted Samsung about the issue. They told me that the screen was faulty and it would need replacing. Repair men were sent to confirm faulty screen and it would need to be replaced. They said my TV which is wall mounted would need to be removed layed down on my home theatre floor and screen replaced. I said that was unacceptable I have paid a premium amount for a premium TV and want it replaced. Samsung then got back in contact and said they would only repair not replace because it's only a minor problem "but clearly a common problem". I have since sent emails and the shop of purchase has also contacted Samsung but I have had no reply. How has everyone else had there TV issues resolved?

I have not got the same problem with the blue patches, Samsung forced down the path of repair rather than replacing. The problem is re-occurring now, despite the fact that screen was replace twice. Did you get your problem resolved ?

Yes. I only excepted the screen replacement about a month ago and I've had no issues so far. Second screen and your problem is still not resolved. Sounds like a major problem to me. Where I live Samsung's policy is minor problem they repair. Major problem they replace. Demand a replacement... good luck!

I just purchased a 2023 QN800C and noticed a black/grey spot. I set up an appointment through the tv as free going the screen test. They never called either of the number I provided.
I followed the instructions here, turning the TV off for 30 seconds, because I didn’t try that originally. After plugging my TV back into my surge protector, it will not turn back on. I tried multiple outlets and even left it unplugged overnight. It still doesn’t work. Period.
I too, have always used Samsung TVs and this is by far the worst experience, especially after sinking over $3000 into this TV.

Your TV is toast, and even if it wasn't, the ghost spots are so bad that it would need to be replaced, anyway. File a return with Samsung customer service and let your own personal customer service nightmare begin... if you are lucky, you will have a replacement in 3 months. If you are unlucky, they will deny your claim and you have a $3000 paperweight. Stay diligent and persistent—it will work out, they are just really hard to deal with. I would vie for the 900 series, but that's just m.
