Tablet regional version lock?

Hello,

I am looking to buy an A8 Tablet WiFi-version, but sadly the 64GB and 128GB versions are either not sold by stores or sold out online.

On Amazon I have the chance to get versions from different countries - like Italy or Spain - but I am not sure how that affects the usability.

I've read online that phones are region locked and can be unlocked with a sim card, but the tablet would not have a sim slot, so that would not work.

As I am traveling between countries and continents a lot, I would like to be able to use it everywhere. Is there a lock if I get a tablet from a different country?

Not aware tablets have a regional lock. Maybe worth speaking to samsung in shop or via chat to confirm this.

No clue, but looks like they are "hard" region locked. I can only buy the 32GB version in my country, the neighboring countries get the 64 and 128GB version no problem. Even the Samsung shop does not list them ... for whatever reason

I got the A8 10.5 64gb from amazon and works everywhere I have taken it no problem. and it said was Spain variant. I've had no issues with it and was updated on Saturday 7th to Andriod13 and one 5 on Saturday 7th. I'm UK based

What did you do have you ordered it? I live in eu but only seem to find us versions and have heard a lot of downsides like 
1. Voltage issues are a major factor. These devices are meant to operate under the 110-120 volt range. If your country operates on other standards, sometimes converters might not work or it may fail.
2. Device update hampers a lot. Networks don't work. Sometimes you encounter WiFi issues due to previous WiFi software that you cannot update due to out of US. Manually do it before WiFi breaks.
3. Warranty :  They promise it sometimes but never give. Only trusted one I've seen is Apple devices.
4. Spare Parts might not be compatible with each other as some version has some visible and non visible difference in them.
5.And lastly Samsung product are prone to get locked if they get any unauthorized attempt on their software. You might not do it but just a info from my end. I tried installing our home version and it got locked in my Samsung device.

However spoke to a ssmsung expert via chat but dont know if they are real or not.

Yeah but was unlocked And took to dubai just used VPN to stream netflix, and TV shows streamed in UK
