Tab S8+ keeps asking for PIN after restart

Hi guys,

Has anyone had a similar issue? 

I know it will ask for my PIN if I restart the tab, but I haven't even touched it. I'll put it down for a while, then when I come back to it, instead of allowing me to use my fingerprint, it asks for PIN after restart. It's doing this every time I leave the tab for a longer period of time.

Any help would be appreciated? Cheers

This is a standard security feature. Even on the phones. You need to use your pin every once in a while.

Thanks for your reply. I understand it will ask for my PIN every few days as my S21 does this, but this is happening several times a day and it says use PIN after restart, when I haven't restarted it.

Oh I see. Sorry, I've never come across this situation and have no idea what could be causing it.

You may want to hard reset it

Yeah I'm going to try Maintenance Mode, then will try that too. Cheers. I only got it yesterday.

Hard reset your device then maintenance mode then hard reset again

A soft reset has seemed to do the trick 👍🏻
