S6 lite stuck on boot-up

I have a S6 Lite which I've had for about 3 years now and just recently It just suddenly broke, I guess. It started crashing and getting stuck on the boot-up.

I figured out you could restart it by holding down the power button and volume down button at the same time. Most of the time it would restart but go back to being stuck on the boot-up screen, while some times it would restart like normal and I could access my tablet again, only to crash again soon after. Now it doesn't matter how many times I restart it. It will always remain stuck on the boot-up screen. If I have it plugged in, it will be stuck on the charging icon, but not display an actual percentage, until I try restarting it again, at which it will then go back to being stuck on the boot-up screen.

Here are the things I've tried doing:

  • Restarting it, obviously.
  • Wiping cache partition from the recovery screen (back when I could access the tablet normally and turn off the device directly)
  • Letting it run out of power and charging it up again.

I haven't tried factory resetting it, but I can't find a way to access the recovery screen as I can't directly turn off the device when it is stuck. I'll try letting it run out of power then recharging it, then turn it on by holding the power key and volume up key at the same time.

I would appreciate any advice. Why did this happen in the first place? I don't think it is an app because I haven't downloaded any in ages.

Also, does anyone know the Samsung's warranty policy for tablets for products purchased 3 years ago? Alternatively, could a ordinary phone repair shop help repair my tablet?
