Galaxy A7 tablet (Nov2020)

Hi, this tablet is becoming totally unpredictable in what it is doing and how. If Iam scrolling through a web page, I can be instantly booted out, back to initial search page (NOT because of any inactivity time), Iget a message on screen saying "this app is not valid due to a bad configuration", whatever that means. 

Help, please, before I smash this device on the floor!

I've done everything you suggested and tried a web page, only to be booted out again after about 30 seconds, with the same message about bad configuration. 🤯

Grrrr. Let's try something different. Please follow the tutorial here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QsCOE5MLGGQ
This will clear out all fragments of files that are not needed but could be causing conflicts, your data will be safe.
I'm still unsure if it is Samsung Internet is what you are using. I've posted a copy of my home screen. Are you pressing the purple icon (first item, top line)?

Thanks for your advice, but after looking at the tutorial and going ahead with the cache wipeout, I restarted and found no difference. The way I access the internet would normally would be by tapping the search line in the middle of the screen, (which I have assigned to Bing, on your home screen, you have it on Google). I have never used the purple icon. I have also tried to scan the device in relation to potential malware and found the device to be secure. I am beginning to wonder if there is a malfunction or a fault on this device and whether I should just have it returned to be replaced.

If you press the purple icon and try the internet, do you get kicked out? I'm starting to think the Bing Search Bar may be causing a configuration problem.

I did press the purple icon and accessed the internet, but there seems to be something trying to open which partly blocks the screen. My feeling is not that it is Bing, as that works perfectly on my mobile.

Oh, another thing.. the Bing search bar does not work on this Galaxy A7 any more. The only way to access the internet is to go and find the icon for Bing, or for Samsung internet and to tap one of them.

I have to admit I'm running out of ideas. The main reason is I'm not able to picture what is going on.As a last resort you could factory reset the device but I dislike having to set up the device again.
