Flashing Samsung logo

When i start up my S2 tab, it gets as far as a flashing samsung logo and no further.  I've left it on charge for about 45 mins and was still doing this, it only turns off when teh battery has died.  I've stried a full factory reset and still the same things occurs.  Any suggestions?
