I have had the following message come up on my newly purchased tablet which was not part of a trade in with myself
What do I do?

I am currently abroad on what is now a ruined holiday. Samsung has received my trade-in yet has taken an extra £300 from my account and have threatened to block this phone. I get passed from person to person via email. I can't call them because I cant make overseas calls on my current tarrif.
My phone has all of my documentation and covid-passes etc. I tried to contact samsung by called a family member in the UK over whats app and then askin them to speak to Samsung. It was a poor connection but they said there is nothing that can be done and all phones will be blocked today.
So now thanks to Samsung I am down an extra £300 GBP, will soon have no working and no old phone either ( they have taken everything literally!).
Buying a new phone while I am away is not possible because it is costly and as Samsung has taken £300 from my account erroneously I cant even pay for one.
I will be very stuck tomorrow and there has been no reply from Samsung at all.
This is an absolute shambles.

My A52S was locked yesterday despite my trade in being received yesterday and the deadline not until 16th. Same as everyone, nobody will help and the help@tradeinresponse.co.uk doesn't reply

Not that it helps but i have been grilling them on the facebook chat, surely they can escalate this easier than we can.

Surely this is a newsworthy error? End users being indiscriminately locked out of their devices at a time when access to devices is crucial to show proof of vaccination for travelling etc is outrageous! I'm not a twitter user but I would urge anyone on here who is to utilise social media to make this more widely known.

Yes its absolutely scandalous. Many of us have been charged extra money too!
They have our old phones, have taken extra money and are going to block the new ones we bought.
Basically we have given them >£1000 to be treated like rubbish.

Hi guys.
Just to let you know that we’ve escalated it too. Any updates we get, we’ll let you know as soon as we can on here.
Meanwhile, I encourage anyone experiencing this to share in this topic.

They said they can't do anything about it

This happened to my partner. Bought direct from Samsung.
They confirmed the received the trade in on Monday. Then on Wednesday she started receiving these on Wednesday, she emailed them as the message advised and she heard nothing.
Then on Thursday evening at 10pm her phone was locked, can't do anything at all on it.
We've both been contacting Samsung constantly and all they can say is wait 3-5 business days.
But when you ask what happeneds if you haven't heard in 5 days, they just say to wait... its disappointing customer support... we've both been invested in Samsung for over 10 years, with phones, tablets, laptops, pc parts, home appliances, television...
The way their customer service has been about this, I'll never be buying another Samsung product.
Absolutely disgusting.
