Hi,

I have a Galaxy Tab S7+ which when locked the display keeps repeatedly illuminating every 30s or so. It seems to be losing about a quarter of its charge every day as a result.

Any tips for troubleshooting what could be causing this?

One time it appeared to be the calendar causing it (but only once) is there any way to disable the calendar on this device?

On a side note it feels very sluggish compared to when i first bought it. Almost like it's a forced deprecation. Is there any reasonable explanation of why that might be?

Many reasons.

The more serious ones are simple battery degradation, to hardware failing. It's not often but can happen depending on each use case. In lighter scenarios, it could simply need an update or something needs attention. My S7+ has marked depreciated battery life compared to it's first use, but it's an expected trend with any aging device.

I don't see how the battery could be connected to the issues i've listed.

I pretty much expected that response tbh as standard.

I'm not having any noticable issues with the battery, other than the device is consuming it by repeatedly waking itself up.

Well I simply am presenting the possible causes of a reduced battery life span. The issues you describe sound like some software glitch, no forced deprecation, whatever that is supposed to mean. I own an S7+ too, that would mean mine should do something similar, which it doesn't.

I would suggest going through all software updates, clearing cache and perhaps uninstalling apps if your storage is nearly fully utilised. If the problem still persists, a factory reset may be your best option. Just be sure to backup all your relevant data and settings you wish to keep.
