So i have a Tab S8 Ultra but i can't download extra edge panels from the galaxy store

But on my S10+ i have this feature

Honestly i think that on a tablet is more useful edge panel then the phone and if we have it on the phones why don't we have it on the tables

If somebody who is connected with Samsung can answer the question why is not a feature or simply  put it on the list to be added in the future that will be great

Any news? Still a missing feature, it's 2023. This issue dates back to at least 2020...

@Ceenivao: Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting back to regarding this matter. The developers say that the function to download third parties edge panels has not been delivered on tablets and Fold devices to prevent unexpected problems. The developers have noted that the application registered by the 3rd party does not contain the resources that are necessary for  large screen models (such as tablets or Folds), so the store cannot be opened on such devices. Only the native, preinstalled edge panels are available.

The developers will keep monitoring the market for further VOCs and will contact the 3rd party app developers to provide some solutions in this matter in the future, if possible. I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

I've got the same problem on my TabS7. It's very strange that Samsung deactivated the option to add more panels on tablets. Why? The option used to work on tablets without any problems.

It sounds like it works for phones and maybe older tablets because of the screen / screen resolution being smaller?

I have an S21 Ultra and a Tab S8+ and it's disappointing to learn they haven't reached a resolution. The edge panel comes in handy frequently on my phone. Hopefully they'll find a way to make this work.

Well, it's the end of 2024, I bought a Tab S9 and that's it.... THE SAME PROBLEM remains!!!!

It defies logic why edge panels can be used so freely on dinky phones but not on larger tablets where they could be used better.

Well, it took 3 years, but we finally have an answer at least.

Another year had passed and the issue persists. Now I'm driving a Tab S8 and a Tab S9 FE plus, both still missing the full feature.

Can't the devs at least build a calculator and calendar widgets compatible with tablets?

Like one said in one of the recent posts, it's insane that in tablets where this feature is mostly needed we still don't have it.

At least we have a compass lol so we can take our 15 inch tablets outside and use it as a compass. 🤣

Update to everyone who is on this thread, they are now removing the option to download extra edge panel even from the S series phones from OneUI 7.0

Idk why they want to downgrade
