Did new SmartTag+ register to OnePlus phone even though it didn't add the Tag? S21 can't see Tag even after several Tag Resets

Using SmartThings App on my OnePlus and S21 (same account) I tried adding the Tag on my OnePlus. It found the tag but got error code 00-002 which stated that the tag can only be added by a Samsung device - so I tried adding it with my Samsung but it can't find it.
I disabled Bluetooth on my OnePlus in case there was a connection still. I also reset the SmartTag+  (all following the instructions to reset: opening it and removing the battery, pressing the button, putting the battery in and pressing again until I hear the reset sound).  

Now I tried anew finding it with my Samsung S21. On the OnePlus the bluetooth is still turned off, but the S21 still can't find/see the tag. It is the same smart Things account on both phones. 

Help? 

I went through the tag reset twice. 

[edit] Did the Tag register with the OnePlus even though it did not add the Tag? Because I can't see=delete it anywhere before the reset. It doesn't show up in my account/in the Smart Things app. On the S21 and on my OnePlus Phone, it is the same SmartThings account.

I had similar issue previously, after changing our dead battery, the tag would not be found. I removed it and then it still couldn't be found

I brought it through amazon, so spoke to them and swapped the tag out

Hey, thank you for your reply. I got it from Amazon Germany 2 weeks ago but I'm now in Japan and won't return to Germany so soon.. so I'm hoping for another solution.

I guess someone with two phones or at least someone with an android must've tried this and ran into the same issue.. I'll keep my hope up there 'IS' a solution

There must be a way to be able to use this Tag?? 

On my OnePlus Phone it's the SAME Samsung account for the smart things app and I cannot delete the Tag anywhere bc it just says this android phone cannot be used to register the Tag - but it seems it DID register it somehow?? This is a bug and a ticket should be opened to code review and fix this.

But there must be a SOLUTION for me as well!?
