I would not trust samsung trade in after my this experiance. I made an human error to select fold z rather flip z while trade in, however my IMEI number was correct. System generate ID and later team rejected it due to phon name was wrong. No human to talk to correct this mistake and come to another agreement to trade but bunch of no reply emails and sent my flip z phon back with no orginal box I sent my phone in. I ended up with 2 phones now with huge money to pay to samsung. Lesson learnt.

If you are in the UK then you can return the new phone.
I've used trade in for some years now. You have to check the information you fill out is completely correct.
Especially the imei number. It's a long number and easy to miss something, but before you go to the next step. Go through to make sure its all correct.

It's not a fraud if you inputted the wrong details.
The system is automated going through online, and the traded in device will be sent to a third party company for processing.
So the order can't be changed.

You do have the option to cancel the order while it's still in the processing stage

I'm afraid it's completely down to you to provide the correct information

Four mobile trade in plus two watch trade ins and no issue.
Called trade in centre on a few occasions with queries and recieved clear responses.
Your issue is down to your error and certainly not any fraud by samsung or their trade in centre.
Disappointing that you wish to blame others for your mistake and use this forum as some sort of soundbite arena.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

So, to be clear, the initial mistake was yours. Samsung offered a price based on the information you gave (although if the IMEI was for a different type of device I would have expected their system to flag that). You then sent the device been which was not the one they offered to buy from you for an agreed price. Samsung then returned it to you.

And somehow this is Samsung's fault?

Any loophole in the system, leads to fraud, how come device was wrong when IMEI number was right? Secondly, giving no chance to coustomer to review is a fraud, they could have come up with settlement with Flip and adjust money  accordingly but not. It is a fraud when you force people to use their product and allure them to trade and then do not accept trade just because there was one error? Ofcourse, I felt cheated. There is no way in Australia to contact team, its samsung call center they generate ticket n put note on file and clearly mentioned they cant do anything as third party is involved. And on top of that they kept the original box. I wonder why?

May be some of you are right to think this is not fraud and kept doing trade in, I personally wont  spend more than $1500 when I have been given no choice.
