Samsung S25 Ultra Pre Order - Address Postcode Mismatch, what to do next?

Ordered my phone with all the discount and Galaxy 3 bud code applied on the 4th of Feb. Checked on the 7th for the status, and realised that the delivery postcode on display did not align with the correct address. Basically the delivery address is right, but the postcode is for my billing address (which are 2 different boroughs in London 45 mins by tube apart). I don't know whether it's my input or the system was misplaced, but nevermind what happened happened.

Contact Samsung straightaway on the 7th of Feb, being told that nothing they can do on their end despite the order stayed at 'Order Confirmed' status. The only thing they can do is cancel it and rebook, which I will lose all the perks and discounts, i.e not getting the bud while paying an ~ additional £450+. Therefore as advised they asked me to wait for DPD order to be generated and contact them instead.

DPD order was generated today, but the DPD side says they can't change the address unless Samsung asked them to, so I contacted Samsung again, who said the same thing as on the 7th.

As I do need a new phone and not willing to waste the discounts and all the waits, I will take an AL and wait at the wrong postcode to see if it might miraculously turn up. However, don't think the bud is worth an additional AL so should I get the phone tomorrow, I might not wait for the Galaxy bud and just ask Samsung to close the order.

Just wondering if this is possible, or it would be better to just let luck play out when the bud arrives in March?

Just an update:

Seems like DPD finds the discrepancy at the Depot, so no delivery and back to Samsung straightaway (sigh¬¬).

Seems to be a refund then, say goodbye to my first Samsung in 10 years before it arrives hahaha

Further update:

Contacted Samsung for the latest event, they suggest they can ask for a redelivery via DPD, but such process must be pushed through internally to let somebody taking a look into it. Therefore, would recommend asking directly and taking down the notes of the case number on paper (trust me, Samsung hasn't given me any record/case numbers until today despite me having more than 5 calls with them), and pushing it through every channel possible as suggested by the customer service people. (message everyone that might have a link to Samsung, including Community moderators, KX employees etc.)

I might give all a massive push for a day or two, and if there is no update, ask for refund then. Also is suggested by CS that freeze any further payments on your side proactively. if you are paying instalments like me, as Samsung does take a long time to process repayments, with cases of delays seen also in this forum.

Can you ask DPD to deliver to a local drop-off instead, so you don't have to wait at another address?

In terms of samsung/dpd if they've said they can do nothing your next step is pretty much what you've mentioned already.

Nah they said for Samsung orders only address delivery is allowed, as it needs a pin

DPD won't deliver phones to a pick up point during the S25 pre-orders. I wanted to do so and it wasn't an option.

Ah yes, then your option is what you suggested. In terms of the buds, I don't think Samsung can take them off the order without cancelling the whole thing (which obviously isn't an option).

Hey there @gameboy1996py

Unless the postcode is unique to a single property, the likelihood is that the delivery will fail as DPD won't be able to find the address linked to the postcode.

So your device "may" go back to DPD. Whether Samsung will then accept a change, I don't know. Experience tells me probably not and you may end up being refunded in a couple of weeks after the device is returned.

I would still go to the second postcode though and hope.....

So maybe I can see if it can be delivered without me in town, if it doesn't, maybe try to contact Samsung and ask them to label it as delivered?

Yeah it's an apartment ahhhh...... But still wanna have a try, hope that they can come and I can greet them at the main entrance.

If not have to pray that they do return things to Samsung lol, have no hope for both DPD and Samsung so my benchmark expectation is getting nothing but still get my money back haha

Wait until dpd tries to hopefully deliver to either address or postcode. You'll get a message with a time slot. If you don't get it at the address, then you know it's gone to the postcode. They will attempt another delivery next day with another time slot. Make sure you are there, lol..
