This rubs me the wrong way. I'm tempted to return my Note 20 Ultra and those Ear Buds and buy the phone from Vodafone.
The €22 per month you see is the cost of the SIM only subscription, not the cost of the phone per se. My current monthly subscription from Vodafone is €18 per month and will be renewed in 2021.

I've read on other forums that some people in the States are going back to the source they purchased the phone from and the shop is refunding the difference which is possibly a Goodwill Gesture @davehorne
I'm not sure about other countries and I've not checked the Uk Samsung Website yet.
edit.
The prices for the N20 Ultra are still the same as launch on the Uk Samsung Website.
The problem in the Uk is if a person has visited a Samsung Experience Store to buy the phone and break the seals then they can only return the phone if its faulty. (Last time i checked the T&C's)
If they buy from the Uk Samsung Website then they have 28 days as a cooling off period which might be linked to distance selling.

I believe I'm given 30 days to try the phone and I'm on day 24.
Edit - Samsung gives 30 days return from date of purchase. That would limit the user's trial time though.
This is not a good move from Samsung.

Samsung are maybe realising that pumping up the price every year like Apple isn't working.
I got 10% student discount off my one but it's still expensive at £1061.
It's not a clever move dropping the price so soon as it will put people off pre-ordering in the future, mind you they'll have had quite a few returns so maybe their warehouses are full of them.
It's more the Exynos version that needs a good discount rather than the SD.

I bought my phone directly from the Samsung online store here in the Netherlands.

might be worth send the phones back if still in the trial period and re purchase after the price drop.... food for thought think i might do this myself

no I know, but I'm still not sure as whether I should trade in my note 10+ for this ultra or not?
its most likley they will wait a month before dropping the price over here in the UK

I called the Samsung online store here in the Netherlands and they will send me an email today or tomorrow regarding me sending the phone back.
I went to the Vodafone store (in Den Bosch) today and they have the black version in stock and it would probably take five business days for them to receive the bronze version.
One additional fly in the ointment, in order for me to receive that discount, I have to renew my contract which normally would expire a year from now.
I'm presently paying €18 per month for my SIM card subscription and that would jump to $22. That's €48 additional cost over the year just to receive the discount.
