Late email for Trade In

Did anyone else get a late email to send their trade in phone by 3/2/2025? 

I got my email on the day I was meant to send it in by post and all my emails were super late after my phone arrived including samsung care, etc. Samsung can't decline to not accept my trade in 1 day after the deadline right because that would be unfair when it wasn't my fault. I got my phone on Saturday, I'm really busy to do anything on Sunday. Then my email came in on the deadline to send it in.

Hey there

You normally have 7 to 14 days to send your trade in device back.

My S25 Ultra arrived yesterday, trade in going later this week.

Not had any chase emails from MTR

That's odd and thanks, I didn't want to get stressed out as they sent me that email, did you get a trade in sticker for the phone because I only got it for the watch?

Yes I did (get the trade in label) for the phone but I didn't buy a watch

I can't remember if I just sent the phone in together with the watch label like last time with the z fold 5 release. I'll have to double check if that would be a way to do it.

trade in are a bit eager this year my s25 ultra got delivered on saturday 1/2/2025 today had email saying they want my trade in phone back by  3/2/2025 {today} so i emailed them to say this must be wrong as only had the new phone 2 days which there reply was we will give you a 7 day extension im sure last time it was 14 days after your new phone was delivered

Mine said had to be returned by 10th Feb and I got it Saturday.

Just did it now actually, highly recommend using Royal Mail Special delivery for £8.75 as it insures up to £750.

And take photos too.

yeah i always do special delivery signed for and next day its all packed up and ready to go back ill take it to post office in the morning

its packed that well it will take them a week to unwrap it 😂

This is the second such post I've seen in the last half hour.

Hi @steelmalc and @StealthXp. That definitely doesn't sound right to me. I'd recommend contacting MTR on 0333 207 9676 or helpdesk@samsungrecycle.co.uk to discuss this, as you have 7 days from when you received your phone to send them your trade-in device. Seems like a genuine error on their behalf.
