How trustworthy is Samsung Trade-in?

Feeling a little anxious as I do not want to be ripped off when sending my mobile for cashback. I want to ask if people here had positive or negative experiences and any advise to ensure I don't get ripped off. Thank you in advance for any support 👍

Last couple of times I've traded in, has gone fine. Fingers crossed for the current one lol. 😆

Never had an issue with any trade in I've done and payment / credit values always honoured in full. Traded in this time an S10+ I had as a spare. Posted it at 3pm Monday afternoon (standard 48hr RM), email saying it had arrived yesterday, and follow up email today to confirm acceptance and the trade in had completed. I do take photos of the device working and showing that its undamaged before posting and photo of it all packaged up just to cover myself

Rest assure Samsung has the best customer service I have ever seen. I remember a few years ago, I was trading in a phone, and it got loss in route to their facility, and nevertheless the still gave me the credit. And the credit wasn't like $50, I think it was like $500+. After that I was completely sold, I never dealt with a company that was customer centered to that degree.

Very negative experience. I traded in two fully working and undamaged  phones and after two weeks i was told they were damaged and worth only a fraction of the original deal. I decided to  have them returned but that took an enormous hassle. I will not use samsung's trade in service again!

After 5 months had the value of my trade in taken from my bank no correspondence to say they were doing this and no correspondence to say they had not received my phone. Wanted me to send them proof of postage, but sorry, after 5 months, I don't have it.

I think Samsungs trade in program is a scam. I traded it a Samsung A tablet in and it was in perfect condition with not even one scratch on it and I also transferred my data then fully charged it with the cable and then factory reset it, it was also in perfect working condition. I was suppose to get $100 for it, so after I got a good deal on a new S9 tablet plus my trade in it ended up being a great deal so that's the only reason I upgraded but after I buy new tablet and sent my trade in thet send me an email saying the port didn't transfer data and was defective, that's a lie..... Now after chatting with customer service and feeling positive after they said they would ask for an exception and would hear from them within 2 days I was blown off and never heard back and was recharged the $100 dollars and never got my tablet back because I was disputing it. I own many Samsung products and I'm low income so I have to buy on deals only but now they will lose me as a faithful customer.....
