Does anyone know how to raise a complaint that actually gets looked at rather than ignored by customer services?  I want to speak with someone accountable and not people who just hang up the phone on you when trying to get a problem resolved (and a problem that was entirely caused by Samsung in the first place)?

I am tearing my hair out trying to deal with Samsung Tech Support.  Banking app stopped working after a year, message advised my phone was rooted or jailbroken.  Bank no help, called Samsung, first guy was v helpful, ran remote diagnostics which showed that my device was not rooted.  First Direct (bank) advised that they were planning a further app update - this has not resolved the problem.  Tried another banking app, same issue.  Called Samsung, went through various processes which did not resolve the issue.  I have now been on the phone (2nd time today) for 40 minutes - have been told that the issue is that my phone security (Samsung A53) is probably not compatible with latest banking app security and I will have to buy a new phone (it's only a year old!).  I told agent that I though this was unacceptable and Samsung should be ugrading security levels rather than expecting me to purchase a new phone.  Asked to speak to a manager - flat out refused, said managers cannot come to the phone!  He said he would raise a complaint on my behalf - I countered that I would like details of Samsung's complaints procedure to raise the complaint myself.  He told me that Samsung do not have a complaints process!  Feel I'm caught in a Kafka novel.  He has finally agreed to speak to someone on the complaints team and I was put through to 'customer solutions'.  Advised that the only option is a factory re-set and if that doesn't work, the phone would have to go away to be looked at by an engineer.

Anyway else have issues with banking apps on the A53?  Samsung are adamant that they have never encountered this issue before, which I find had to believe.  Any advice would be gratefully received - I'm not very tech-savvy and feeling very stressed out by the whole thing.

Dear Sir / Miss

I'm Sasi.

(Srilanka)

I purchased a Samsung S22 Ultra phone on 15.06.2023, a year ago, for 170,000 Sri Lankan Rupees. This morning, on 23.8.2024, the phone developed a green line issue on the display. I do not have the receipt for the purchase. They are saying that replacing the display alone will cost up to 105,000 Sri Lankan Rupees. I do not know what to do now. My monthly salary is Rs 40000/=. I worked for 6 months to earn the money to buy this phone. I am really worried and unsure about what to do. Can you please help me? I am requesting this sincerely."

Not good enough! You've cut me three times now. Three Galaxy Z Folds I've had directly from Samsung. Obviously, they don't need the business. Not good enough! 😡
