Does anyone know how to log a formal complaint? I have recently brought a tab 9 ultra but upon booting it up I have realised that it a bit too big for me and I want to downgrade to the 9+. Tried to submit a refund request online but this did not work, tried the live chat box, again this did not work, got through to someone on the phone who was an absolute *****.

They informed me that I could be charged upto £200 just for turning the tablet on, I haven't even taken off the protective flim from the corners, but they wouldn't know wether I would be charge until it got to the wearhouse at which point I would not be able to change my mind and would be locked into what ever they decide.

I asked to speak to a manager and I was lied to as I was told that know one was there (I know that this was a lie as the call agent admited to speaking to her manager, they just didn't want to speak to me)

I asked which ombudsman service samsung fell under so I could complain to them but she couldn't even answer that question, I asked how I could log an internal complaint but she could not answer, I asked for her name and she hung up on me.

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of customer service at Samsung when all I want is to exchange my item.

I have checked the website to see if I can complain there but to no avail. Does anyone know what I should do next?

They should accept a return in the first 14 days, if the tablet is in a sellable condition they will accept it back.

If your within those 14 days you can send it using the label you would of recieved with your order.

It is in sellable condition but apparently turning it on counts as 'used' and there's could be a 20% charge

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK Community Forum

Samsung introduced a policy where, if an item is returned because of a change of mind, and the package (box) has been opened, they will deduct 20% as the device can no longer be sold "as new". It is in the T&Cs when you place an order (but who reads those?).

I don't agree with it and am not entirely sure it stacks up in UK law.

Out of interest, how did you pay for it? If by CREDIT CARD then try Section 75 but as it isn't damaged......
