We found out the same issue. We have over 100 xcover5 phones using rear camera to scan QR codes in warehouse and production. Manual work is not an option. Please fix this asap.

I have the same problem with my Xcover 5, no focus with back camera, as all say here.... it started after the latest upgrade with latest android vers. I noticed rather quick when i should logg in with QR code and discovered that i had no focus at all. I have this problem in Sweden i can't find anything about this topic in any Swedish forum or on Samsung board. This is the only place that i can read about and discover that i', not alone with this problem.... Have someone here heard when a fix can be possible. Tnx all for your effort and input. Regards Jens

I'm gonna repeat my initial statement... I'm fairly confident Samsung does not read this forums. And if they were, it means they are purposely refusing to acknowledge this critical issue with the camera being broken. Either way, it puts Samsung in bad situation.
Some people in this thread are saying that they got an acknowledgement from Samsung, but so far I have yet to get one myself. I never got one over the phone, over email, and there is none to be found on the web.
I don't understand this mentality. Come one Samsung, just a one-liner in this forum or on your website with "We're looking into this issue, but we don't have an ETA" would be enough.
But at this point you're making it seem like you hope you can fix the problem before it gets too much attention in the media... instead awareness of the problem keeps rising for each day because you're giving us the silent treatment.
In the meantime, I'm gonna create a list of backlinks here for google to ensure this thread gets more traction...

I posted a list of backlinks to various news and media sites that cover this ongoing issue with the broken autofocus on the Xcover 5 , and how Samsung does not acknowledge the problem in any way.
The post was removed after a few minutes without even getting a message or notification from forum admins/mods. At this point it can only be perceived as Samsung actively suppressing unwanted attention to the topic.

This is outrageous. All we are asking is that Samsung acknowledge the problem and issue a fix or other instructions. There are millions affected by this problem and it won't simply be forgotten.
