The Samsung Galaxy S26 is a highly anticipated smartphone series expected to launch in early 2026, with rumors circulating about potential upgrades and features. Key areas of focus include camera advancements, processor options, display technology, and software updates.

Key Features and Rumors:
  • Cameras:
The S26 Ultra is rumored to feature a new 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, potentially using the same sensor as the S24 and S25 Ultra. There are also rumors about a possible 200MP telephoto lens and a variable aperture lens on the main camera, particularly for the Ultra model.

  • Processors:
The S26 is expected to use either Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 or Samsung's Exynos 2600 chipset, depending on the region. The Exynos 2600 is rumored to be built on advanced 2nm technology.

  • Display:
The S26 series is likely to retain LTPO AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

  • Design:
There are rumors of a new facial recognition system called Polar ID, which might debut in the S26 Ultra.

  • Other:
The S26 series is also expected to have improved brightness and color accuracy in the display, 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and Ultra Wideband support.

Regional Differences:
  • The US, Canada, and China are likely to receive the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for the S26 and S26+, while other regions may get the Exynos 2600.

Launch and Pricing:
  • The S26 series is expected to launch in early 2026.

  • The S26 Plus is rumored to be priced at Rs. 99,990 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB variant.

Potential Improvements:
  • Some users have expressed desires for features like a return of Bluetooth in the S-Pen, 16GB RAM, a larger battery, better low-light camera performance, a brighter display, faster charging, satellite functionality, an improved fingerprint scanner, and better speakers.

We do not know anything officially but obviously there has been some speculation, I do not think the Battery capacity will change on the Ultra, there has been talk of possibly faster charging speeds. Need to see about the cameras but may be some improvements.

Snapdragon may only be used for the Ultra in Europe.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

All speculation currently.

So we don't "know" anything at this time.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.
