@da9kl: Head to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits > Sleeping apps or Deep sleeping apps > Tap the '+' in the top right > Select Facebook > Add. This will reduce the background activity of the app, or stop it completely, and should help to reduce its effect on your battery life.

A number of social  Media Apps  can be Battery Hogs,  Facebook and Tiktok are certainly culprits.  up to users to decide if the value of them is more important.  I do use the Facebook app personally  but  not one of the fanatics.  Some advice here https://www.androidauthority.com/top-battery-draining-apps-3207361/

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

@da9kl Facebook is known as a Vampire App for a reason 😉

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
