@da9kl: Head to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits > Sleeping apps or Deep sleeping apps > Tap the '+' in the top right > Select Facebook > Add. This will reduce the background activity of the app, or stop it completely, and should help to reduce its effect on your battery life.

A number of social Media Apps can be Battery Hogs, Facebook and Tiktok are certainly culprits. up to users to decide if the value of them is more important.
