As the Samsung Note⁸ is a sealed unit due to the Samsung Community Forum Guidelines we are unable to make suggestions to try anything yourself.
I would therefore suggest a Samsung Service Centre or the very least a reputable highstreet store that offers such replacement services.

Hi @da9kl you may be able to source a Battery though best to go through the official route. However The Note 8 stopped receiving security updates as of August 2021. https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-note-8-updates-
Obviously this depends on circumstances but you would receive better protection for vulnerabilities with a more modern Device. https://www.androidcentral.com/phones/is-it-safe-use-phone-after-stops-receiving-security-updates However it is obviously your call.
