Autocorrect changed without warning S8

Hi, 

I've had a couple of things change unexpectedly recently.

Previously, the middle suggestion of 3 words automatically entered the text being typed when the space bar was hit (i think it was the space bar, it's not been something i needed to think about.)

So automatically a lower case i corrected to I. But suddenly the other day it stopped working.

I hadn't been messing about in the settings etc so no idea how to fix it again. Can anyone help please?

@Michelle0505: Have you recently updated your S8 to Android Pie? If so I'd recommend a pressing the Volume Down and Power buttons together for around 10 seconds until the phone restarts. If the issue persists please go to Settings > General Management > Language and Input > On Screen Keyboard > Samsung Keyboard > Smart Typing, and ensure that you have features such as Spell Check, Auto-Capitalise and Auto Punctuate set on 'On'.
