Trying to get help with this issue. My phone was updated yesterday, and since then, I am unable to send or upload any media. Pretty annoying! Tried to clear cache, data and reinstall, but issue is persisting.
Are you able or know where to allow the read write setting? I received error too when try to copy because i was not able to reach the "read and write" permission setting page.
Just an update: I managed to reaccess media again on my dual whatsapp. I deactivated the dual messenger which uninstalls the second whatsapp from the device (You could potentially lose your data if not backed up). I switched the dual whatsapp again, and restored the back up. Finally it's working.
Depends when the last back up happened, you'd still be able to restore it. I lost a week worth of data cause I couldn't back up post the update. At least it's working now
